Privacy Policy

The short version

  • We never receive your data. VaporMotion has no servers and no accounts. Everything it keeps stays in your browser, on your computer.
  • Some features talk to other companies, only when you use them: Google's Gemini for the AI tools, your search engine, wallpaper sites, Google Fonts and Google's site-icon service. They receive what the feature needs, straight from your browser.
  • No ads, no analytics, no tracking, no cookies of our own, and nothing is ever sold.
  • Delete everything at any time: Settings → Privacy → Delete all my data, or remove the extension.

1. Who we are

VaporMotion Dock ("VaporMotion", "the extension") is made by PAIXAI ONE ("we", "us"). Questions about this policy: support@paixaione.space.

2. What stays on your computer

VaporMotion keeps these things in your browser's storage for this extension. Websites can't read it, and it is never sent to us.

Files the agent saves for you (images and text files) go into Downloads/VaporMotion on your computer. They are ordinary files: deleting VaporMotion's data doesn't remove them.

3. What leaves your computer, and where it goes

Only when you use the feature, and straight from your browser to that company. We are not in the middle and never see it. Each company's own privacy policy applies to what it receives.

Google Gemini (the AI tools)

The Gemini agent and Live Translate use Google's Gemini API (generativelanguage.googleapis.com, or Vertex AI at aiplatform.googleapis.com) with your own key. Google receives:

Please note: on Google's free tier, Google may use what you send to improve its products, and people at Google may read it. Google's Gemini API terms explain this. Don't use the AI tools on pages with information you wouldn't want Google to see.

AI Mode with Chrome's built-in AI (Gemini Nano) runs on your computer: nothing leaves it. Sending a question to another AI site (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, Grok or Google AI Mode) opens that site in a new tab with your question, as if you had typed it there yourself.

Your searches go to the engine you picked. With Suggestions as you type on (and after Chrome asks you once), the letters you type go to that same engine as you type them, the way Chrome's address bar does it, without cookies. Turn it off in Clock & Search.

Site icons

To draw the icon of an app you add to the dock or to Start, VaporMotion asks Google's site-icon service (www.google.com/s2/favicons) and the site itself for its icon. They see the site's address.

Google Fonts

The standard font and clock need nothing from the internet. If you choose a font or clock style from Google Fonts, or open the Font settings, your browser downloads it from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com). Like any website, Google then sees your IP address and browser details.

Online wallpapers and pictures

Browsing or saving wallpapers from Wallhaven, Pixabay or MoeWalls sends your searches and filters to that site and downloads the files you choose. When the agent downloads pictures for you, it searches Pixabay.

Signing in with Google

Pressing Sign in with Google opens Google's own window, and Google sends back your name, e-mail address and photo, which VaporMotion keeps only in your browser. With Chrome's own account instead, Chrome gives VaporMotion the e-mail address the browser is signed in with. Nothing goes over the internet for that.

The websites you visit

The ad blocker works with rules inside Chrome, so VaporMotion doesn't see the pages you visit or the requests they make. Tab pictures, the tab button, hiding leftover ad boxes, the volume tools and Live Translate on every site run inside web pages only after you give Chrome's permission, and keep what they see on your computer. The volume tools change sound on your computer: nothing is recorded or sent. The Performance Booster puts tabs you aren't using to sleep with Chrome's own tab discarding, and reads how much of your computer's memory and processor is in use to show you. With page access it also checks whether a page has something typed and not sent (it only learns yes or no) and how much memory the page's scripts use. None of this leaves your computer. The one-time microphone request (Show my speakers) is only so Chrome will name your speakers: the microphone is switched straight off and nothing is recorded.

E-mail to us

The Support links open your own mail app. The help one adds the extension's and Chrome's version numbers to the message. We receive only what you choose to send.

4. What we don't do

5. Chrome Web Store and Google API data

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. VaporMotion's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs also adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR or California law), you have rights to see, correct, delete and move your personal data and to object to its use. Because VaporMotion keeps your data only on your computer, you can do all of that there, and we hold nothing about you to hand over. If you e-mail us, we keep that conversation only as long as needed to help you, and delete it when you ask. For data you sent to Google, a search engine or a wallpaper site through a feature, contact that company.

7. Children

VaporMotion is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect anything from them. The AI tools use Google's Gemini API, which Google only allows for people aged 18 and over. If you think a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.

8. Security

Your key is kept in extension storage that websites and VaporMotion's own scripts inside web pages can't read, and it is only ever sent to Google. Text VaporMotion reads from web pages is treated as untrusted and shown as plain text. No method is perfect, though: anyone who can use your computer and browser profile can see what is stored there.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change affects what leaves your computer, VaporMotion will tell you before it takes effect.

Terms of Use

1. Agreeing to these terms

By installing or using VaporMotion Dock you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please remove the extension.

2. It's free, with no hidden costs

VaporMotion is free. There are no payments, subscriptions or in-app purchases, so there is nothing to refund. If paid features are ever added, you will see the price and the refund terms before you pay anything.

Costs from other companies: the AI tools use your own Google AI key. Google gives a free allowance and may charge the key's Google Cloud project for use beyond it, if billing is turned on there. Those charges are between you and Google. VaporMotion doesn't set, see or receive them. You can watch your usage in Google AI Studio or the Google Cloud console.

3. Using VaporMotion

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use VaporMotion. Please don't sell it or pass it off as your own, remove these notices, or use it to break the law, to harm others, or to overload or attack any website or service.

4. The AI tools

5. Other websites and their content

6. Names and logos

VaporMotion is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Apple, Google, Microsoft, FxSound, or any company whose app, site or service it shows. Their names and logos are their trademarks, used only so you can recognise their sites and services.

7. No warranty

VaporMotion is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be error-free, always available, or suitable for a particular purpose. Features that depend on other companies can change or stop working when those companies change their services.

8. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, or charges from other companies (such as Google), and our total liability for anything to do with VaporMotion is limited to US$50. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.

9. Ending and changes

You can stop using VaporMotion at any time by removing it. We may change or stop offering it. If these terms change, we'll update them here and change the date at the top. Continuing to use VaporMotion after that means you accept the new terms.
